Our team of Holter Lake fly fishing guides are ready to put you on fish! Upper Holter Lake is located only 20 minutes north of Helena, Montana. This is home to large rainbows and browns averaging 18"-20". Like Hebgen and Ennis Lakes the "Gulper" fishing is a fantastic way to spend a day throwing dries to giant trout.

We launch our jet boats at the Gates of the Mountains Marina, which is the same reservoir the Missouri River flows into from the Land of Giants. Mostly a rainbow trout fishery averaging 18″-20″, and the occasional brown trout that could potentially top the 30″ mark. When fishing upper Holter Lake we use techniques similar to that of Hebgen Lake and Ennis Lake. Callibaetis fishing in August and September, streamer fishing in October & November.
